About this scholarship
This annual scholarship has been named in honor of Hall of Fame member Fred Singer, Miami Beach Senior High School Class of 1952. The scholarship is given to a graduating high school senior studying media production.
As a professional filmmaker and videographer, Fred worked for several years on behalf of the Alumni Association and donated countless hours each year to prepare video introductions for our Hall of Fame inductees. These wonderful videos are also shown at Beach High to acquaint students with the accomplishments of previous graduates. They were always inspiring. Currently, our Hall of Fame videos are produced by the media students at Beach High and the scholarship is generally awarded to one or more of those students.
